Online Thermoelectric Modelling Tool for PCR Design Engineers

Laird Thermal Systems has launched an online simulation tool for PCR thermal cycling applications. Thermoelectric coolers produced for thermal cycling, such as the PowerCycling PCX Series, are utilised for Real-Time PCR to precisely temperature control DNA amplification to three temperature set points. Constructed with next-generation thermoelectric material, the series offers faster ramp rates and higher reliability than conventional thermoelectric coolers to notably extend field use of molecular diagnostic devices.

Nextreme Thermoelectric Chiller for Biotech Research

Digital microscopes utilize CCD or CMOS sensor-based cameras to capture high resolution images of microstructures. A thermal solution is required to remove waste heat and maintain very precise temperature control of imaging sensors. Thermoelectric chillers in combination with thermoelectric coolers minimize thermal noise in imaging sensors to achieve maximum image resolution.

Liquid Cooling Systems for Efficient Temperature Control of Medical Diagnostics

One critical element of today’s diagnostic equipment is its cooling system. The cooling system prevents overheating, which can cause equipment to malfunction. Additionally, cooling solutions help maintain thermal stability of lab instrumentation, which is necessary for high-quality results. Considering the importance of medical imaging and diagnostic tests to monitor and maintain patients’ health, the equipment and the lab must be thermally maintained to ensure equipment consistently meets stated performance expectations.
