Laird Thermal Systems designs and manufactures the most comprehensive family of thermal management products and custom solutions including thermoelectric coolers, thermoelectric cooler assemblies, temperature controllers and liquid cooling systems. With unmatched experience in developing optimized solutions for some of the worlds’ most demanding applications, Laird Thermal System products shorten your time-to-market.
To optimize performance and long-life operation, an application could require a customized thermal management solution. Laird Thermal Systems designs and manufactures customized, thermal management solutions for performance-critical applications to optimize your product’s performance.
Thermoelectric coolers are active heat pumps (solid state Peltier devices without moving parts, fluids or gasses) that transfer heat from one side of the device to the other. Designed to dissipate or add heat in applications with tight geometric space constraints, Laird Thermal Systems manufactures a complete range of thermoelectric coolers with numerous heat pumping capacities, geometric shapes, and input power ranges.
Thermoelectric cooler assemblies are a combination of thermoelectric coolers and heat transfer mechanisms designed to absorb and dissipate heat. With the widest selection of thermoelectric cooler assemblies on the market, Laird Thermal Systems feature optimized solutions in Air-to-Air (convection), Direct-to-Air and Liquid-to-Air (conduction) versions. Thermoelectric cooler assemblies are used to stabilize the temperature of sensitive electronic components or to cool devices, chambers, and enclosures below ambient. Laird Thermal Systems' thermoelectric cooler assemblies are designed to reduce product development time, reduce cost and optimize product/system performance, which makes them ideal for medical, telecom, industrial and instrumentation applications.
Liquid cooling Systems are self-contained units that recirculate a coolant to a predefined temperature set point. Laird Thermal Systems manufactures two types of liquid cooling solutions: liquid heat exchanger systems that maintain the coolant in a liquid circuit to ambient temperature and compressor-based systems (recirculating chillers) that cool the coolant to well below ambient and dissipate heat to the outside environment.
Laird Thermal Systems’ temperature controllers are specifically designed to control thermoelectric cooler assemblies in a closed loop system. They offer accurate, precise thermal management, require less energy to maintain the desired temperature range, and lower the cost of ownership. The cooling systems reach the temperature set-point quickly, without temperature overshoots or significant ramp down.
